PVR: Adds multiplex in Hyderabad; total screen count at 754

Leading film exhibition company PVR Limited announced that it has launched six-screen multiplex in Hyderabad. This is the company's first launch in the calendar year 2019.

The company notified about this development though press release on exchanges. PVR launched its 8th multiplex in the city of Hyderabad. The 6-screen property is located at a convenient location in Hyderabad's Next Galleria, Musarambagh. The multiplex is built over an area of more than 26,000 sq ft with a seating capacity of 985 seats.

With this launch, the total number of PVR cinemas reached 58 screens at 10 properties in the state of Telangana. The company’s increasing focus on expanding its presence in the southern region of the country has got a further boost by this launch. It now has 259 screens in 43 properties in the south. Overall, the total count stands at 754 screens at 162 properties in 64 cities of India.

On Friday, at 11:44 hours, the stock of PVR was trading at Rs. 1,631.40 per share, up by 0.06 on BSE. It hit an intraday high of Rs. 1,664.30, up by 2.08 per cent during the day.
