Expanding Global Footprint with New Power Transmission & Distribution Projects

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured large orders for its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business, with new projects both in India and internationally. These projects include building high-capacity transmission lines in Uttar Pradesh and southern India, enhancing renewable energy infrastructure.

International Expansion
L&T's global footprint expands with significant orders from Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. The Saudi project involves setting up a 380kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) with advanced hybrid GIS bays, while the Abu Dhabi contract focuses on establishing a new 220/33kV grid station.

Boosting Renewable Energy Grid
These wins highlight L&T’s crucial role in building robust grid infrastructure to support the rapid growth of renewable energy. The repeat orders from existing clients showcase the company's strong execution capabilities and market trust.

Impressive Financial Performance
L&T reported its highest-ever order inflow of ₹1.16 trillion in Q3 FY25, a 53% increase year-on-year. Its order book now stands at ₹5.64 trillion, with 51% of revenues coming from international projects. The company continues to strengthen its financial position with strong revenue and profit growth.

Outlook Remains Strong
With the Indian economy projected to grow by 6.5% to 6.8% in FY25, L&T remains confident of surpassing its 10% growth guidance for order inflows. The company also expects improved performance in its infrastructure segment with new large orders in the pipeline.

L&T’s strategic focus on expanding its renewable energy and infrastructure projects, both domestically and globally, positions it well for sustained growth.
