Following stocks are close to their 52-week low as at 12.31 p.m. on January 9.

Shares of Sutlej Textiles and Industries escalated on the bourses on Tuesday after the company approved setting up polyester stable fibre manufacturing unit in Jammu & Kashmir.

The markets on January 9 opened gap up. BSE Sensex is trading at 34,377.51, up by 24.72 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,616.90, down by 6.70 points. 

Textile stocks found immense impetus on the bourses in the intraday trade on Tuesday. The heavyweights of the industry including Raymond, Arvind, Welspun India, Vardhman Textiles and Bombay Rayon Fashions charted steep hike on the bourses during the day.

Nifty is likely to continue its uptrend towards the level of 10,660, whereas any retracement may find support around Monday’s opening upside gap area (10,566-10,588.50) followed by 10,550.

Key benchmark indices are expected to extend their upmove on Tuesday as leads from Asian markets are supportive. The SGX Nifty indicates that the Nifty could open around 10,660 level with gains of 28 points at the opening bell.   

The stocks that are likely to witness significant movement on the bourses on January 9, 2018 are Tata Motors Limited, Goa Carbon Limited, Orchid Pharma Limited, GVK Power & Infrastructure Limited and South Indian Bank.
