Indian equity benchmarks are expected to open significantly lower given on the back of weakness across the global markets. The SGX Nifty is indicating that the Nifty could open lower by 65 points around 10,454 at the opening bell.  

Pharma major Cipla announced its partnership with Roche Pharma India, following which the company’s share price surged by nearly 2 per cent in intraday trade on Wednesday. The partnership is expected to increase access of the company to major medicines.

On Tuesday, the private sector bank IndusInd Bank informed bourses that it has entered into a partnership with blockchain solution provider Ripple.

The markets on February 28 opened down. BSE Sensex is trading at 34,178.34, down by 168.05 points and the Nifty is trading at 10,494.90, down by 59.40 points.

International credit rating agency Moody's Investors Service on Wednesday prognosticated Indian Economy to grow at 7.6 per cent in the ongoing calendar year and at 7.5 per cent next year in 2019.
