Tata Consultancy Services has announced that Bahrain-based SNIC Insurance which was formerly known as Saudi National Insurance Company has selected ‘TCS BaNCS for Insurance’ to support its ambitious digital transformation strategy.

Tata Motors reported a 21 per cent dip in Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) retail sales for the month of July 2018 on Friday. The sales numbers showed de-growth due to transitional issues faced by the company in various markets.

EBITDA for the quarter rose by 20.3 per cent yoy to Rs. 148 crore with a corresponding margin contraction of 296 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 6.6 per cent.

Overall volumes in futures & options currently stand at 1.56 crore contracts with a turnover of Rs. 16,70,334.12 crore.

During Q1FY19, under Cable division, the company received a single order of 220 KV EHV Cable of Rs. 129 crore from HPCL, Vishakhapatnam and the total order book position is more than Rs. 400 crore.

In a first, India's premier economic fraud investigator, has sent the ex-promoter and MD of Bhushan Steel, Neeraj Singhal to judicial custody. This is the first arrest by an Indian investigative agency for willful loan default.
