BSE Small-Cap Index was seen constantly trading below the previous close and has today further rattled by 1.83 per cent thereby, underperforming Sensex, which took a dip of 0.54 per cent. Meanwhile, BSE Midcap index also ended in red, declining by 1.91 per cent

Domestic equity benchmarks traded on a weak note during Friday's session due to selling pressure in RIL and private bank stocks. On the sectoral front, the FMCG sector was the biggest gainer whereas, the metal sector was the biggest loser in today's trading session.

The fall in the broader market is more severe as Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 plunged 1.33 per cent and 1.34 per cent, respectively.
