On Tuesday, after a gap up opening, the benchmark indices traded lower in the rest of the trading session as private banking stocks were under pressure due to dull global markets.

Britannia reported a 23 per cent year-on-year decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 384.22 crore for the quarter ended September, which was below analysts’ expectations. 

The bulls staged a smart recovery from the lower levels as Nifty recovered almost 60 points from the day’s low and a provisional close was seen around the 18,044 mark.

Tuesday’s trading session turned out to be a tiring one for the bulls of D-Street as Nifty not only halted its two-day winning streak but also, oscillated in a range of 119 points, which is less than its 10-day average range.  

The shares of DB Realty, Brightcom Group, McLeod Russel, Tata Tele and Suumaya Lifestyle were seen outperforming the markets on Tuesday and were locked in the upper circuit. These trending small cap stocks will be on investors radar on Wednesday.

We are just halfway through Tuesday’s trading session but still, volume for the trading session is above the previous trading session and also, highest since October 13, 2021.
