On Thursday, the domestic benchmark indices closed on a positive note taking cues from FII buying, which helped them to handle the downward pressure from global markets. 

Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of sugar and allied products. It has a strong presence in fields such as sugar manufacturing, power, and ethanol/industrial alcohol production. 

The stock has been gaining for the past five consecutive sessions, and has gained over 25.75 per cent. 

On Tuesday, the equity markets saw a highly volatile session and the benchmark indices ended lower with Nifty settling below 17,000 mark.

The core equity indices ended in red with Nifty below 16500 in the highly volatile market on Thursday dragged by the auto and financial names. Sensex dropped 0.66 per cent closing at 55,102.68 level and Nifty closed 0.65 per cent lower at the 16,498 level.
