The Indian benchmark indices have nose-dived deep for the seventh consecutive trading session as geopolitical tension between Russia and Ukraine escalated. All the sectoral indices on the NSE and BSE were in the red with PSU Bank, realty, media and auto stocks losing the most. As per the provisional closing data, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, tumbled 2,702.15 points or 4.72 per cent at 54,529.33.

As a reaction to Russia’s attack on Ukraine, markets tumbled big time. Sensex deep-dived almost 5 per cent losing 2792 points while Nifty sank by 4.8 per cent shedding 815 points. Sensex closed at 54439.62 while Nifty at 16247.95.

Dhanuka Agritech rallied by 2.88 per cent which is noteworthy on a day when the market moved southwards. The stock logged its fresh 52 week low in Tuesday’s session at Rs 665 and saw a recovery of 0.85 per cent in yesterday’s session. Today, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 729 and Rs 635.20 and closed at Rs 701.90.
