The measures for boosting up the insurance sector were also highlighted during the presentation of Budget 2021. Some proposals were made to amend the Insurance Act 1938.  

The Government of India today announced Capex to the power sector of Rs 5.54 lakh crore in FY22 vs FY21's Rs 4.39 lakh crore. The government announced that power transmission assets of Rs 7,000 crore will be transferred to Power Grid InvIT. The centre will also provide Rs 2 lakh crore to states & autonomous bodies for Capex. 

The Finance Minister announced a sharp increase in the capital expenditure of nearly 34.5 per cent to Rs 5.54 lakh crore for FY 2022 as against Rs 4.39 lakh crore.
