On Tuesday, the Indian equity markets extended Monday’s winning streak, despite a relatively volatile session.

Activity in the F&O market for the weekly expiry on March 31 shows 16500 to act as support now. 

Adani Power, Rashtriya Chemical and Himadri Speciality Chemical witnessed positive action in today’s session logging their 52-week high. 

Today, the major gaining sectors were healthcare, consumer durables, and realty. On the other hand, the sectors that dragged down the index were energy, auto, and oil & gas. NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market volatility, plummeted 6.63 per cent to 19.43 levels.

On Tuesday, the Indian benchmark indices settled near the day's high level with Nifty closing above the 17,300 mark led by the pharma, realty, and capital goods sector. 

The stock has formed a pin bar candle as of March 8, 2022, and thereafter, rallied more than 15 per cent from the lows of Rs 2,159.55.   

Eicher Motors, Adani Ports, and Divi’s Labs emerged as the top gainers.

At 1 pm on Tuesday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex & Nifty 50 were trading on the higher side amidst positive global cues and also, due to a drop in the crude oil prices.
