Sanmit Infra, Mitshi India, and Biofil Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals were the BSE's top low-priced gainers, catching the investors' attention by locking at 20 per cent upper circuits.  

The company got the grant of in-principle authorisation to operate as a payment aggregator from the reserve of India.

The auto index contributed the most in the morning trade gaining nearly 2 per cent. 

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 230.28 points or 0.38 per cent. 

The Nifty Auto index increased 1.63 per cent to close at 13,190.90. In four sessions, the index has risen 3.90 per cent.

In the recently concluded September quarter, Ashish Kacholia aka ‘The Big Whale‘ acquired 3,72,128 shares or a 2.49 per cent stake in the company. The investment has brought the stock to the limelight with the stock gaining 42.51 per cent in the said quarter.
