I benefited from your Book Partial Profit story. Thank you. What should I do now and how much lower can we go from here?

I would want to thank DSIJ team for the ‘Book Partial Profit’ story published in the previous issue as it proved to be very accurate with the Sensex timeline. Also, the strategy that one should book profits regularly appears to be very sound to me and definitely beneficial for any investor.

Though certain firms (like Natco Pharma, Edelweiss, IOC) reported healthy Q1 earnings, their prices corrected sharply on the day after their results were announced. Many investors, who are retail investors like me, cannot understand this peculiar behavior of the market. Kindly clarify on this.

All Time High Markets Markets have touched 38,000 as you had predicted in April when most people had a bearish view on the markets. Markets have moved exactly as you had said. Now, from here, what next? Should one book profits or continue to hold?

I am really appreciative of the DSIJ team for very appropriately taking up Cover Story “Underperforming Stocks: What Should You Do with them?” It has been very correctly brought out that holding the underperformers is a cascading risk which can wipe out the invested capital altogether.

I read your cover story on “Two sectors that have bottomed out”. Thank you for identifying the 52-week low statistics for the cement stocks. Can we say that when such large number of stocks in a particular sector touch their 52-week lows, the sector is bottoming out?
