The following penny stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, December 22, 2023

On Thursday's trading session, benchmark indices concluded the day on a positive note, with the Sensex closing moderately higher by 0.51 per cent at 70,865.10, and Nifty surging by 0.5 per cent to close at 21,255.05.

Broader indices also performed well, with Nifty Mid-Cap surging by 1.69 per cent, and Nifty Small-Cap soaring by 1.94 per cent.

Market volatility, as indicated by India VIX, has decreased by 4.79 per cent, reflecting a slight reduction in market volatility.

Nifty Media, Nifty Energy, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Metal were among the Top Gainers, while no major sector underperformed.

BPCL, Power Grid, and Britannia were among the top gainers, while Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finance, and Axis Bank were among the top losing stocks in the Nifty 50.

About 1622 stocks were advancing, compared to 432 stocks declining, indicating an optimistic sentiment in the broader market.

Alankit - Heavy buying was witnessed in the counter as the scrip zoomed and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit, recording an intraday high of Rs 15.95 per share on NSE. The company specializes in e-Governance and e-Governance products, boasting a proven track record demonstrated by the successful completion of numerous e-Governance projects.

 

Cyber Media (India)- The scrip experienced significant buying activity, resulting in the stock surging and getting locked at 10 per cent upper circuit, reaching an intraday high of Rs 29.80 per share on NSE. Established in 1982, Cyber Media (India) Ltd operates in diverse sectors, including print media and publishing, digital marketing, content creation, analytics, and management consultancy.

 

ASL Industries- A solid price volume breakout was seen at the counter today as the stock rallied and got locked at 5 per cent upper circuit to record an intraday high of Rs 39.75 per share on NSE. Incorporated in 1992, ASL Industries Ltd engages in the manufacturing and trading of automobile parts, railway or tramway parts, and provides related services, including jobwork.
