Telecommunication, metal and auto stocks saw heavy selling in today's session

On Monday, Indian equity markets kicked off the week with negative developments. Nifty 50 recorded losses of ~0.34 per cent at levels of 17,894.8. Telecommunication, metal and auto stocks saw heavy selling.

The following penny stocks are likely to be in focus on Tuesday, January 17, 2023:   

SEPC - Only buyers were seen in the counter as the scrip locked at a 10 per cent upper circuit, recording an intra-day high of Rs 12.80 per share on NSE. The scrip's 52-week high stands at Rs 13.85. Shriram EPC (SPEC) is a leading service provider of integrated design, engineering, procurement, construction and project management services for water and waste-water treatment plants, water infrastructure, process and metallurgy plants, power plants and mines and mineral processing.    

Surana Telecom And Power - A solid price volume break-out was seen in the counter today. The stock rallied more than 8 per cent to record a high of Rs 12.10 per share on NSE. The company is engaged in the business of manufacturing/ trading of solar related products, generation of solar power and wind power.
