Small cap banks shine with Jammu Kashmir Bank hogging the limelight along with South Indian Bank, Central Bank and IOB putting on a decent show on the bourses.

The BSE SmallCap index is up by more than 37 per cent on YTD basis. Small cap have had a dream run so far in the past one year and the uptrend continues to impress investors.

The BSE SmallCap index is once again outperforming the frontline indices with penny stock hogging the limelight on Tuesday.

Rolta, RTN Power, TTML, ADAG Group stocks, Orient Green Power, GTL Infra and Suzlon are all trading with handsome gains with most of these stocks locked in upper circuit.

HUDCO is also seen topping the gainer list of small caps with gains in excess of 10 per cent in the morning trading session. M.M Forging is seen topping the smallcap gainer charts as well even as the counter has made a fresh 52-week high for itself. Adani Total Gas, Gujarat Gas, Laurus Lab and Dixon Technologies put together  is contributing the most to the BSE SmallCap index gains.
