This disclosure informs the stock exchange BSE Limited about his acquisition of company shares through an inter-se transfer by way of gift from Mrs Sharifa Iqbal Mohammed (promoter group member). The disclosure details include the number of shares acquired (1,14,421 on 03.05.2024 and 1,145,400 on 22.04.2024 for a total of 12,59,821 shares, representing 0.99% of the company's share capital), the fact that the acquisition is exempt from making an open offer due to the inter-se transfer exemption, and Junaid Mohammed's pre- transition and post-transaction shareholding (0 per cent before and 0.99 per cent after). He also clarifies that the delayed acquisition of 1,14,421 shares was due to them being locked-in shares transferable only through corporate action.

The company's financial health has seen a dramatic turnaround, with its net profit surging by 244 per cent to Rs 0.31 crore in Q3FY24 compared to the previous quarter. The company's nine-month results (9MFY24) showed a 28.61 per cent decrease in net sales to Rs 140.34 crore compared to Rs 196.57 crore in 9MFY23. However, there was a turnaround in net profit, with a profit of Rs 0.44 crore compared to a loss of Rs -1.18 crore in 9MFY23.
Today, shares of East West Holdings Ltd surged 3.35 per cent to Rs 6.17 per share from its previous closing of Rs 5.97 per share. The stock is down by 46.2 per cent from its 52-week high of Rs 11.47 per share while the stock is up by 55.8 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 3.96 per share.
According to the shareholding pattern of the company, the promoters own a 61.28 per cent stake, FIIs own a 0.06 per cent stake and the public owns 38.67 per cent stake of the company as of March 2024.
