Parag Milk Foods expands footprint in North India
Parag Milk Foods has launched fresh milk made from 100 per cent pure cow’s milk under the brand Gowardhan in the Delhi NCR region.
The company has recently acquired a plant in Sonipat, Haryana from Danone Foods and Beverages Private Limited. The above said milk product will be supplied from this plant which is equipped with milk and curd processing units and further plans to install processing units for pouch milk, flavoured milk, pouch butter milk, cup curd, misthi doi as well as expand the existing yoghurt facility.
Together with Delhi NCR, the company is targeting to expand its footprints to the nearby regions within 250-300 km area of the Sonipat plant.
The company’s Q1FY19 product-wise revenue break-up comprises of Milk Products (66 per cent), Liquid Milk (19 per cent), Skimmed Milk Powder (13 per cent) and Others (2 per cent).
Parag Milk foods is one of India’s largest private dairy with a milk processing capacity of 2.9 million litres per day. Also, it enjoys second largest market share in the Cheese segment.
On Tuesday, the stock opened at Rs. 304.75 per share. At 10:33 hours, the stock was trading at around Rs. 303.05 per share on the BSE.
