Sensex and Nifty have settled in red for a second consecutive session on Dalal Street in Wednesday's trading session. 

The gainers within Sensex were NTPC, Power grid Corporation of India, Sun Pharmaceuticals, SBI, and Titan while the losers were HDFC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Asian Paints, Ultra Tech Cement and HUL. In the broader markets, the BSE Smallcap and BSE Midcap indices ended in green.

Britannia Industries -This biscuit and bakery making company has joined hands with Accenture to accelerate its digital transformation across multiple retail channels. Accenture, through a digital transformation program, has helped Britannia Industries to accelerate innovation, capture value and improve the customer and supplier experience.

Persistent Systems -The company has announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Charlotte, North Carolina-based Software Corporation International (SCI) and its affiliate, Fusion360, and the business of East Brunswick, New Jersey-based Shree Partners including its subsidiary in India. SCI bears deep domain consulting capabilities specializing in payment solutions, integration, and support services for an impressive portfolio of leading US Banks. Whereas Fusion360 provides application development, maintenance, and support for leading Payment platforms including IBM’s Financial Transaction Manager (FTM).

ABB India - This global technology company will provide electromagnetic brake systems (EMBR) for two compact strip production (CSP) casters at Tata Steel's flagship plant in Jamshedpur, India, working under contract from engineering and construction organization SMS Group. ABB EMBR helps operators increase productivity, lengthen mould copper plate lifetimes, and reduce mould powder-related non-metallic inclusions. It is installed on 40 per cent of thin slab casting strands worldwide.

HCL Technologies - The company has signed a multi-year strategic partnership with Proximus Group, Belgium’s leading digital services and communications solutions provider, to transform its data centre business and create a resilient digital foundation. With this agreement, HCL will help Proximus to drive future business innovation and accelerate growth in the Belgium and Netherlands market.
