The following stocks will be in focus on October 27:

S&P BSE Sensex, a leading indicator, dropped 287.70 points or 0.48 per cent to 59,543.96 level. Nifty 50 index decreased 74.40 points or 0.42 per cent to 17,656.35. S&P BSE Midcap index increased by 0.45 per cent in the overall market while S&P BSE Smallcap index decreased by 0.35 per cent. The market breadth was bearish as 1,440 shares increased while 1,978 shares decreased on BSE. Around 111 shares in total remained unchanged.

Alembic PharmaceuticalsThe company informed the exchange that the company has successfully completed United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) inspection for its bioequivalence facility located at Vadodara without any observations. The stock gained more than a per cent and ended that day at Rs 549.45 per share.   

  

Zydus LifesciencesZydus Lifesciences Limited (formerly known as Cadila Healthcare Limited) has received final approval from United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Ketorolac Tromethamine tablets USP, 10 mg (USRLD: Toradol®). Ketorolac Tromethamine tablets are indicated to relieve moderately severe pain, usually after surgery. Ketorolac Tromethamine tablets had annual sales of USD 17 million in the United States, according to IQVIA data.  

  

Reliance IndustriesThe conglomerate announced that it will commission its gas condensate field in the Bay of Bengal Block KG-D6 by the year-end, boosting natural gas output to 30 per cent of India’s total consumption. The shares of Reliance Industries gained 2.71 per cent in a period of one month.  

  

Borosil Renewables: The company announced that the overseas wholly-owned subsidiaries of Borosil Renewables, namely, Geosphere Glassworks GmbH and Laxman AG, have completed the acquisition of an 86 per cent stake in GMB Glasmanufaktur Brandenburg GmbH (GMB) and Interfloat Corporation (Interfloat), respectively. Consequently, both GMB and Interfloat have become step-down subsidiary companies of Borosil with effect from today.
