Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus tomorrow

Poddar Housing and Development, Balaji Telefilms, Birla Cable, Mahalaxmi Rubtech, Seamec, Shivalik Bimetal Controls, Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances and SEL Manufacturing made a fresh 52-week high today.  

On Thursday, domestic equity markets continued its upward trajectory, ending in the green territory for the third day in a row. Frontline indices Nifty 50 and Sensex gained 0.80 per cent, closing at 17,605.80 and 58,926.03 respectively. BSE Small-cap index ended the session at 29,246.05, with marginal gains of 0.04 per cent.  

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, February 11, 2022:  

Indian Railway Finance Corporation – The company has posted profit growth of 57 per cent for the nine-month ended December 31, 2021, vis-à-vis the corresponding previous period. During the period ending December 31, 2021, the company reported PAT at Rs 4,597 crore as against Rs 2,934 crore reported in the corresponding period in the previous year The company posted profit growth of 52 per cent for Q3 FY22 at Rs 1,594 crore versus Rs 1,047 crore reported in Q3FY21. 

Kaya – The company posted consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 90.8 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021, registering a growth of 3 per cent over the corresponding quarter in the previous year. India business reported revenue growth of 9 per cent and international business declined by 2 per cent over Q3 last year. Consolidated loss after tax and before exceptional items for the Q3FY22 stood at Rs 8.2 crore, compared to a break-even profit for the corresponding quarter last year.   

52-week High Stocks – Poddar Housing and Development, Balaji Telefilms, Birla Cable, Mahalaxmi Rubtech, Seamec, Shivalik Bimetal Controls, Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances and SEL Manufacturing made a fresh 52-week high today.  

These small-cap stocks will likely be in focus on Friday, February 11, 2022.
