Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus tomorrow

Nahar Poly Films, HSIL Limited, Onward Technologies, International Constructions, OnMobile Global, Orient Bell, Aptus Value Housing Finance India and Gokaldas Exports made a fresh 52-week high today.  

On Thursday, Indian equity markets witnessed profit booking after recording decent gains over the first three trading sessions of the week. Frontline indices Nifty 50 and Sensex fell by 1.24 per cent and 1.29 per cent, closing at 17,560.20 and  58,788.02 respectively. BSE Smallcap index ended in the red territory at 28,838.05, down by 0.38 per cent. 

The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, February 4, 2022:  

Kalyan Jewellers India – The company has announced financial and business performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2021. The company recorded a consolidated PAT growth of 16 per cent and revenue growth of 17 per cent over the same quarter of the previous year. The revenue growth from the India business was approximately 15 per cent during the recently concluded quarter when compared to Q3FY21. 

In the Middle East, the company witnessed a significant improvement in customer sentiment during the quarter, resulting in revenue growth of 24 per cent when compared to Q3FY21.

Their e-commerce division Candere has continued its growth momentum. The revenue for the recently concluded quarter was Rs 47 crore versus Rs 34 crore in Q3-FY21, a growth of 40 per cent.

Barbeque Nation Hospitality – The company has announced financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2021. The company has delivered the highest ever revenue and EBIDTA in Q3FY22. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 286.7 crore, an increase of 47.1 per cent versus Q3FY21. Same store sales growth was 42.7 per cent. Delivery revenue came in at Rs. 46.6 crores, an increase of 64.4 per cent over Q3FY21.

The company has opened 7 new Barbeque Nation restaurants and 4 extension kitchens in Q3FY22. Own digital assets contribution stood at 25 per cent during the quarter. The company is making strides in transforming from a casual dining restaurant chain into a food services company.
