Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Wednesday

On Tuesday,  Sensex showcased a strong rally by recording gains of 514.34 points i.e. 0.88 per cent and ended the session at 59,005. Nifty closed above 17,500 gaining 0.95 per cent. BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices also climbed by 0.79 per cent and 0.14 per cent respectively, but failed to outperform broader markets. From BSE Small-cap index Gallantt Metal, Brigade Enterprises, Goldiam International and Seamec were among the top gainers. BLS International, AGC Networks and Godawari Power were top losers.    

The following small-cap and mid-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Wednesday:  

Atishay Ltd – The company has been approved as RajCOMP Info Services Limited's (RISL) Technology Partner for doorstep delivery of public (i.e. government) services in Rajasthan. RISL is a renowned consulting firm in the field of information technology that operates under the supervision of the Government of Rajasthan. The project will be implemented in phases, with phase-1 covering seven divisional headquarters (Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur) and phase-2 covering 33 district headquarters. For the first six months, the pilot phase would be conducted in the cities of Jaipur and Jodhpur. 

Lincoln Pharmaceuticals – The company has recently announced that it is planning to launch Cephalosporin products soon. It has acquired a facility in Mehsana, Gujarat. The investment in the Cephalosporin plant is for Rs 30 crore which includes capacity expansion as well as modernization of the facility. This acquisition and capex will be funded from internal accruals. The company expects to start commercial operations in March 2022. The plant is expected to contribute sales of around Rs 150 crore in the next three years. The company also plans to manufacture more than 20 Cephalosporin products and plans to start product registration soon for domestic and export markets. The plant will cater to all the Cephalosporin products i.e. tablet, dry syrup, capsule and injectable. 

Cyient – The company has recently announced that it has joined TM Forum, an international industry association that drives digital business transformation of the communications industry through collaboration and innovation. Cyient will contribute its global domain expertise to the forum around key themes such as future-fit connectivity, autonomous operations, customer experience, and network transformation. 

BLS International – The company has been selected as National Business Correspondent for State Bank of India to deliver banking services in urban, semi-urban and rural areas across the country. BLS International will deliver last-mile banking services to support the financial inclusion mission of the Government of India. BLS will soon provide banking services on behalf of State Bank of India like savings bank deposits, fixed deposit, micro insurance, account open with e-KYC, recurring deposit, remittances, micro pension, AEPS mini statement, passbook printing for SBI account holders spread across India. 

52-week High Stocks – New Delhi Television, Clean Science and Technology, Seamec, Share India Securities, Xpro, California Software and BPL have made a fresh 52-week high today. These stocks will likely be in focus on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
