On Wednesday, domestic market indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended lower by 0.21 per cent and 0.43 per cent respectively amid volatility and mixed global cues.

On Wednesday, domestic market indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended lower by 0.21 per cent and 0.43 per cent respectively amid volatility and mixed global cues. However, BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices bucked the trend, gaining 0.62 per cent and 0.40 per cent respectively; thereby outperforming broader markets. PTC India, BGR Energy, Max Ventures and Godfrey Phillip zoomed by more than 10 per cent each during the session. Brigade Enterprises, DB Realty, and Phoenix Mills lost more than 3.5 per cent each.     

The following small-cap and mid-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday:  

Easy Trip Planners – The company has launched an industry-first feature that offers discounted air tickets to users with waitlisted train tickets. The feature enables passengers to discover last-minute alternate travel options in case of unconfirmed train tickets during these unprecedented times. The company also announced an exclusive partnership with Spicejet to offer a customized and hassle-free experience for holiday bookings for the upcoming season. Through this partnership, the holiday booking services of SpiceJet will be exclusively powered by EaseMyTrip. Through this association, Easy Trip Planners aims to expand its ambit across the rapidly growing holiday segment. 

Cyient – The company has recently installed a new SLM®280 system following international support from SLM Solutions. It is integrated into the company's first metal additive manufacturing facility in Jupiter, Florida. With over 100 specialized engineers in design optimization for additive manufacturing, it looks to further enhance its rapid development capabilities critical for digital manufacturing solutions. The SLM®280 selective laser melting system offers 80 per cent higher build rates than competitive offerings. 

BLS International – The company has announced that it has won the contract with the Embassy of Italy in Russia for visa processing for 5 years in partnership. Under the contract, the company is expected to process approximately 1,40,000 applications every year with 20 centres across Russia. 

Morepen Laboratories – The company has recently announced that it is carving out its point of care (POC) Medical Devices business into a newly incorporated wholly-owned subsidiary, Morepen Devices Limited. The shareholders have given their approval for the same on September 28, 2021, in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company.

52-week High Stocks – PTC India, Max Ventures and Industries, Arvind SmartSpaces, IRB Infrastructure and GMR Infrastructure made fresh 52-week high today. These stocks will likely be in focus on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
