Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Monday
On Friday, Indian equity markets ended on a flat note. Headline benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended marginally down by 0.01 per cent and 0.02 per cent, closing the last trading day of the week at 18,255.80 and 61,223.03, respectively. BSE Small-cap index relatively outperformed broader markets by gaining 0.50 per cent, ending at 30,951.28.
The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday, January 17, 2022:
BCPL Railway Infrastructure – The company has recently announced that it has secured an order for the supply and installation of a smart energy meter from the West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL). This order has been received for the work of “SITC of Dual Source Smart Energy Meter BN-4, BN-9, Kalyani (Ph-II) and Rajarhat (Ph-II) IT Park”.
The total project cost comprises Rs 1 crore. The new project opens up an enormous opportunity for the company in near future for similar projects to come on a PAN India basis.
Onward Technologies – The company has announced its results for the third quarter of the financial year 2021-22. It has recorded 33.74 per cent YoY growth in Q3FY22 with revenues of Rs 77.3 crore. The company successfully added 3 new strategic customers during the quarter, including a preferred supplier to a larger European Automotive major.
In a press release, the company has also said that they have had a successful launch of their first Embedded & Electronics – Center of Excellence (COE) in Pune with a team of 50 engineers in Q3, which will start generating revenues after a 9 month investment period.
52-week High Stocks – The Ruby Mills, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Coffee Day Enterprises, Manaksia Steels, Kothari Petrochemicals, Vishal Fabrics, Jindal Worldwide, Cosmo Films, Gokaldas Exports and Macpower CNC Machines made a fresh 52-week high today.
