Overnight Digest: These small caps will be in focus on Monday

Univastu India, Network18 Media & Investments, Fiem Industries, Bhagyanagar Properties, NRB Industrial Bearings, Lakshmi Machine Works, Shanti Overseas (India) and Thangamayil Jewellery made fresh 52-week high today.

On Thursday, BSE Sensex scaled new heights of 61,000 for the first time and Nifty closed the session above 18,300. BSE Small-cap index ended in the green territory up by 137.65 points i.e. 0.46 per cent, but failed to outperform broader markets for the second consecutive day.  

The following small-cap and mid-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Monday:    

Ramkrishna Forgings – The company has a commenced the serial production of heavy fabrications for the excavator parts at its plant VII. This plant is fabrication facility which has been approved by one of the leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the mining and earth moving industry based out of Europe. 

To quote Mr. Lalit Khetan, Executive Director and CFO of Ramkrishna Forgings from a filing with the exchange, “This approval will provide significant impetus to capacity utilization of this new plant and will add to revenues in coming years. The facility approval by a leading European OEM and subsequent commencement of serial production acts as a strong testimony for our state-of-the-art facility and reinforces our rational behind the capex decision. This order follows a recently won order from an Indian arm of Japanese construction equipment company. Increasing acceptance of our products by global majors across auto and non-auto sectors is an assertion of our product quality and technical expertise.” 

GTPL Hathaway – The company has announced their Q2FY22 results. The company’s consolidated revenue for the quarter (including EPC) stood at Rs 605.2 crore, up by almost 4 per cent on a YoY basis. Q2FY22 ISP revenue came in at Rs 100.6 crore, up by 50 per cent on a YoY basis. EBITDA (including EPC) is Rs 1,44.8 crore. Profit after tax (PAT) jumped by 6 per cent on an annual basis to reach Rs 43.3 crore.  

The highlight of H1FY22 performance was robust subscriber additions and subscription revenues for their broadband business, coupled with strong balance sheet as well as return ratios. The company successfully added 1 lakh net broadband subscribers during the first half of the financial year.
