Overnight Digest: Stocks to watch out for on October 6
On Tuesday, Sensex and Nifty ended the trading session on a cheering note. Sensex settled at 59,744.88 levels, which is 0.75 per cent up and the Nifty ended at 17,822.30 levels, up by 0.74 per cent.
Apart from PSU bank, realty and pharma, the other sectoral indices ended in the green with oil & gas zooming more than 3 per cent whereas telecom and energy indices gaining beyond 2 per cent. In the broader markets, BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended in the green.
Following stocks are likely to be in focus on Wednesday:
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation - The stock is trading with a bullish trend on the charts and has formed a long green candle in Tuesday's trading session. Along with it, a significant spurt in volumes is witnessed for the stock. The stock has regained its Rs 2 trillion market capitalization and has zoomed 10.91 per cent on Tuesday. The stock was seen trading at its highest level since November 2018.
Upper Circuit stocks - The stocks of Arvind Fashions and Patel Engineering have locked in an upper circuit with a gain of 19.99 per cent and 19.96 per cent respectively. In addition to them, NELCO, Borosil Renewables, Suzlon Energy, Trident and Jain Irrigation Systems also hit the upper circuit.
Bullish Moving Average Crossover: Valiant Organics, GMM Pfaudler, Adani Transmission, HFCL and Gland Pharma made a bullish moving average crossover on Monday. These trending stocks will be in focus on Wednesday.
52-week high stocks - The stocks of Reliance Industries and Titan have made fresh 52-week high prices on Tuesday. Keep a watch on these stocks on Wednesday.
