Overnight Digest: Stocks to keep on your radar for January 17
Indian benchmark indices ended flat in the volatile session on January 14.
At close, the Sensex was down 12.27 points or 0.02 per cent at 61,223.03 level, and the Nifty was down 2 points or 0.01 per cent at the 18,255.80 level.
On the sectoral front, IT, capital goods and realty indices rose 1 per cent each, while selling was seen in the auto, pharma, bank, FMCG sectors. In the broader markets, BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended in the green.

Tata Consumer Products - Shares of Tata Consumer Products rose nearly 5 per cent in Friday's trading session as investors predict that the company will report robust earnings for the quarter ended December 31, 2021, and on optimism for its coffee retail business. Further, the company announced the appointment of Gharry Eccles as president of international business, which was positively welcomed by the investors.
Motherson Sumi Systems - The company's shares dropped 20 per cent on the NSE on Friday. The board of auto parts maker has fixed the record date for the scheme of arrangement as Monday, January 17. Ahead of the record date, the shares traded deeply in red as they traded exclusive of the value of the wiring harness business of the company that will be demerged into a separate listed entity, as per the stock exchange's intimation.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals - The company announced that its fully owned subsidiary Glenmark Specialty S.A. (Switzerland), received FDA approval on its New Drug Application (NDA) for Ryaltris™, an innovative, fixed-dose (metered), prescription, combination drug product nasal spray for the treatment of symptoms of Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis in adults and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older in the United States. The stock has ended 1.21 per cent lower on Friday and is likely to be in focus on Monday.
Upper Circuit Stocks - From the BSE 500 index, the stocks of Brightcom Group, Praj Industries and Trident have locked in the upper circuit in Friday's trading session.
