In line with the strength in global markets, Indian benchmark indices started the week higher. The strengthening of global technology stocks supported domestic indices as technology shares powered the rally, with the BSE Information Technology index leading the way with gains of 1.65 per cent. The BSE Sensex surged 0.53 per cent to 60,941 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index gained 0.50 per cent to a level of 18,118.

Ultratech Cement - Shares of the cement company plunged more than 4 per cent, making it the Sensex's worst performer of the session. The company reported a 38 per cent decline in consolidated profit year-on-year, owing to rises in raw material costs and other expenses.
Havells India Ltd - The board of directors declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 per equity share of Re 1 each or 300 per cent and fixed January 28, 2023 as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders entitled to the interim dividend. Shares ended the session over 4 per cent higher.
Coforge Ltd - Following the announcement of a robust quarterly performance and dividend declaration, shares of IT solutions provider climbed more than 6 per cent, making it one of the Top Gainers from the BSE Information Technology index. The board has recommended an interim dividend of Rs 19 per share and the record date for this payout will be February 3, 2023.
