Overnight Digest: Stocks to be watched on December 21

On Monday, the benchmark indices ended lower for the second consecutive session on rising concern over Omicron variant. At close, the Sensex was down 1,189.73 points or 2.09 per cent at 55,822.01, and the Nifty was down 371 points or 2.18 per cent at 16,614.20.

All the sectoral indices ended in the red with realty, bank, capital goods and metal indices rattling 3-4 per cent. In the broader markets, BSE midcap and smallcap indices shed over 3 per cent each.

Keep a watch on the following stocks for Tuesday's trading session - 

Axis Bank - Axis Bank proposed to raise funds by issuing senior unsecured taxable redeemable non-convertible debentures of Rs 10 lakh each for cash at par with a base issue size of Rs 2,000 crore and green-shoe option to retain over-subscription of Rs 3,000 crore, thereby aggregating up to Rs 5,000 crore. The stock has ended 2.07 per cent lower in Monday's trading session.

Adani Transmission - The company announced that it has completed the construction of one of India’s longest intrastate transmission lines of 897 circuit km. This feat was achieved in Uttar Pradesh by Ghatampur Transmission Ltd (GTL) a subsidiary of ATL. The transmission line comprises 4 Nos of 765KV and 400KV bay extensions at Agra, Greater Noida and Hapur. This will provide transmission services to Long-Term Transmission Customers (LTTC) with 35 years of runway ahead.

52-week low stocks - The stocks of Bajaj Auto, Bandhan Bank, Colgate Palmolive, Hero Motocorp, Lupin, MRF and Petronet LNG have hit their 52-week lows in Monday's bearish trading session. Keep a watch on them on Tuesday.
