Overnight Digest: Stocks likely to be in focus on September 9

Keep an eye on these stocks for Friday's trading session

Thursday was a merrier day for the domestic markets as the indices closed on a substantial positive note. Sensex jumped over 650 points or 1.12 per cent at the 59,688.22 mark while Nifty added 174 points or 0.199 per cent and ended the day at the 17,798.40 mark. 

Financial Stocks led the sectoral rally with BSE Bankex Index settling 1.94 per cent higher and on the flip side BSE Metal Index losing its shine shedding 1.18 per cent.

Keep an eye on these stocks for Friday's trading session:

Angel One - The shares of angel one flew higher and soared almost 7.5 per cent on the news that the company added 0.44 million clients to grow its client base to 11.18 million. This amounts to around an 81.9 per cent YoY increase, in August 2022. The company also recorded a massive 117.9 per cent growth YoY in its average daily turnover to Rs 12.38 trillion. 

Sonata Software - Shares of Sonata Software gained as much as 13 per cent as the shares traded ex-bonus. The software and consulting firm had announced the issue of bonus shares in a 1:3 ratio. The company has fixed September 10, 2022, as the record date to determine the eligibility for the issuance of bonus shares. 

Tata Power - Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has collaborated with the leading Indian Stainless Steel manufacturer - Viraj Profile Private Limited, to set up a 100 MW captive solar plant. The plant will be developed by Tata Power at Nandgaon at its Nasik site and it will power Viraj Profile Pvt Limited's Tarapur Plant. In a bullish market, the shares of Tata Power ended in red, lower by 0.79 per cent. 

Price Volume Breakout Stocks - Shares of JK Lakshmi Cement, Bajaj Holdings & Investment, Metropolis Healthcare, Balaji Amines and Affle India were among the stocks which witnessed a price volume breakout in Thursday's trading session. JK Lakshmi Cement soared up to 11.33 per cent, while Bajaj Holdings and Metropolis Healthcare surged up 10.32 per cent and 5.56 per cent, respectively.
