Overnight Digest: Stocks likely to be in focus on October 6
Watch out for these stocks for Thursday's trading session.
The Indian benchmark indices ended higher as Nifty closed above 17,200 level with buying seen across the sectors. Sensex was up by 1,276.66 points or 2.25 per cent at 58,065.47 while Nifty climbed 387 points or 2.29 per cent at 17,274.30 level.
IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports, Coal India, Hero MotoCorp, and Bajaj Finance were among the Top Gainers on Nifty. On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation and Dr Reddy's Laboratories were the Top Losers.

Britannia Industries - Britannia Industries, through its subsidiary Britannia & Associates (Dubai), has acquired control of Kenafric Biscuits (Kenya) by subscribing to a 51 per cent stake in the said company for Rs 9.2 crore. The subsidiary also acquired a 100 per cent stake in Catalyst Britannia Brands Ltd (CBBL) for Rs 1.42 crore.
Suven Pharmaceuticals – The company announced that US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) has issued an establishment inspection report (EIR) for its wholly-owned subsidiary - Casper Pharma Private Limited, a finished dosage drug manufacturer for human use.
Easy Trip Planners - The shares of Easy Trip Planners, which operates EaseMyTrip.com, jumped 8 per cent to Rs 414.95 on an intraday basis after the company announced that its board of directors has scheduled a meeting on October 10 (Monday) for considering the proposal for the issue of bonus shares and/or sub-division/split of shares.
Price volume breakout stocks - In an optimistic market today, the shares that showed a price volume breakout are Angel One, Vakrangee, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, NHPC, and Zee Entertainment Enterprises.
