Opening Spotlight: These Group A stocks topped BSE top gainers list with strong Q4 results!

These companies reported strong topline growth for both the quarter and year ended March 31, 2022.

At the pre-opening bell today, the markets showed mixed sentiments. For the second consecutive day of the week, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a decline of 0.13 per cent.   

The sectoral indices also took a hit with power slipping 0.12 per cent, energy plunging 0.07 per cent, and metal tumbling 0.82 per cent.  

As against this, at the pre-opening bell, S&P BSE Smallcap was marginally up by 0.1 per cent and S&P BSE Midcap by 0.23 per cent. By 9.15 am, barring a few, the majority of the indices were trading in green.   

Meanwhile, Polyplex Corporation, Godrej Agrovet, and Craftsman Automation from Group A painted a different picture. These stocks topped the list of BSE Top Gainers in the pre-opening session.    

Polyplex Corporation Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap stock, soared 9.09 per cent to Rs 2,591 at 9.07 am.   

Godrej Agrovet Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, jumped 7.24 per cent to Rs 565.  This surge came on the back of strong results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2022. On a consolidated basis, the company’s topline grew by 45 per cent YoY for Q4FY22 and by 33 per cent YoY for FY22.   

Craftsman Automation Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, zoomed 6.83 per cent on the bourses to Rs 2,300. This rally came on the back of its results announced for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2022. On a consolidated basis, the company’s topline grew by 22 per cent YoY for Q4FY22 and by 41.6 per cent YoY for FY22.
