After plunging 0.80 per cent in the previous trading session, the broad market index S&P BSE Sensex witnessed further decline today. The index fell by over a per cent from the level of 57,060.87 in the previous trading session to 56,429.45 in today’s session.
During this time, the following stocks were the top three gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session.
Yes Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE 200 company, rallied 4.55 per cent in the first 15 minutes of the day. This rally could be in response to the declaration of Q4FY22 results, which were released on Saturday. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 14.25, an increase of Rs 0.62 from the previous closing price of Rs 13.63 on BSE.
Similarly, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 3.92 per cent on the bourses. This company too declared its Q4FY22 results in the last week, post which, the stock has been rallying on the bourses. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 290, an increase of Rs 10.95 from the previous closing price of Rs 279.05 on BSE.
At the same time, the shares of GHCL Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, were trading higher by 3.55 per cent in the pre-opening session. The surge came on the back of its Q4FY22 results announcement on Saturday. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 640, an increase of Rs 21.95 from the previous closing price of Rs 618.05 on BSE.
