The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices ended the trading session on Monday in positive territory, with the Sensex up 0.79 per cent at 67,127.08 and the Nifty up 0.73 per cent at 19,965.05. The broader markets were in positive territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap index rising 1.20 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap index surging 0.70 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were SJVN Ltd and Tube Investments of India Ltd, while the top small-cap gainers were IRCON International Ltd and FCS Software Solutions Ltd.
On the sectoral front, all the indices were trading in green with the BSE Telecommunication Index and BSE Utilities Index being the top gaining sectors.
The market capitalization of BSE-listed companies was Rs 3,24,25,075 crore or approx. Rs 324 lakh crore as of September 11, 2023. On the same day, 370 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 17 stocks touched a 52-week low.
