Nifty 50, India’s frontline equity index touched the psychological level of 18,000. It crossed the mark of 18,000 for the first time today. Nobody would have thought a year back that the stock market will have such a vertical rise. From the low of March 23, 2020, Nifty is up by 136 per cent. As of March 23, 2020, Nifty 50 had closed on 7634 however, today it is trading at the 18000 mark. Out of 50 constituents of Nifty 50, 27 companies have outperformed the Nifty. These companies have gained more than 136 per cent.
