Nestle India reports healthy Q4CY17 numbers
Nestle India reported results for the quarter ended December 31, 2017 on Wednesday after market hours. The company's standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 2,601.46 crore, registering 10.2 per cent yoy increase. Domestic sales increased by 10.8 per cent yoy and exports increased by 12.7 per cent yoy.
EBITDA for the quarter rose by 37.2 per cent yoy to Rs. 533.47 crore with a corresponding margin expansion of 403 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 20.5 per cent. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 311.83 crore, yoy increase of 59.6 per cent. This was partly led by decline in effective tax rate from 39 per cent to 35 per cent in Q4CY17.
The company's board of directors recommend a final dividend for the year 2017 of Rs. 23 per share, total dividend amounting to Rs. 86 for the year 2017.
Nestle India Limited is engaged in food business. The company's food business incorporates product groups, which include milk products and nutrition, beverages, prepared dishes, cooking aids and chocolate and confectionery.
On Wednesday, the stock opened at Rs. 7,186.55 per share and touched an intra-day high and low of Rs. 7,372.70 and Rs. 7,186.55, respectively, and finally closed at Rs 7,260.10, on the BSE.
