Nath Bio-Genes (India) Ltd introduces two new cotton hybrids

Nath Bio-Genes (India) Limited announced an introduction of two new cotton hybrids in Indian market: Sanket and Daksh. These new products have been developed after over five years of extensive research and biotech interventions. They have been evaluated by conducting field trials across different geographic and climatic conditions in Central and South India.

Sanket has demonstrated outstanding results in the extensive coordinated field trials conducted by the company as well as in ICAR’s All India Coordinated Trials over the past two years. In addition, Nath Bio Genes (India) Limited conducted numerous demonstrations with the farmers at different locations.  Under irrigated field trials, Sanket showed strong adaptability across different geo-climatic conditions. One key characteristic of Sanket is its attractive boll bursting and ease of picking, which reduces labour cost.

Daksh cotton hybrid is targeted at marginal farmers, cultivating under predominantly rain-fed conditions. It showed superior tolerance towards sucking pests as well as to water stress. Daksh proved to be the finest cotton hybrid, suited for all climatic conditions as per the trials conducted consecutively for two years by ICAR.

The stock closed at 237.95, up by 4.52 per cent or Rs 10.30 per share. The intraday high is Rs 239 and intraday low is Rs 227. The 52-week high is Rs 473.80 and 52-week low is Rs 126.25 on BSE.
