Mphasis reports higher profit numbers in Q2FY19

Mphasis Limited reported a consolidated net profit of Rs. 271 crore in Q2FY19 in comparison to Rs. 197.6 crore in Q2FY18, posting a 37.14 per cent growth on a YoY basis.

The company's total income increased to Rs. 1,962.40 crore in Q2FY19 from Rs. 1,642.20 crore in Q2FY18, registering an increase of 19.5 per cent.

The company has done remarkably well not only on the financial front but also in terms of securing contracts amounting to Rs. 1,485.96 crore. Of these, 77 per cent of the orders pertain to new generation services.

The company boasts a healthy pipeline and has demonstrated strong execution across multiple sectors.

On Friday, the shares of Mphasis Ltd. opened at Rs. 1,107.00 per share and hit a high and low of Rs. 1,119.90 per share and Rs. 1,063.35 per share, respectively. The stock closed at a price of Rs. 1,069.30 per share, down 4.79 per cent.
