Moat stocks that registered a fresh all-time high: Do you own any of them?

The Nifty witnessed a quite weekly option expiry on Thursday as it ended the day flat at 17,369.25 up by 15.75 points or 0.09 per cent. Furthermore, Thursday’s daily range for the Nifty stood about 77 points, which was lower than its 10-days average and also, was lowest in the last seven trading sessions, as a result, it formed an NR7 bar. 

Despite such as day, stock-specific action continued and moat stocks remained in focus. In investing terms, the word 'moat’ refers to a competitive advantage. If we say that a company has a wide moat, we refer to it as that the company enjoys a unique edge over peers in the same industry. 

Here is a detailed list of the moat stocks which made a fresh all-time high on Thursday.

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX): The stock had gained a little over 1 per cent on Thursday, but it logged a fresh all-time high of Rs 613.80 and settled at Rs 598.85. 

Marico: Nifty FMCG was the second-best performing sectoral indices on Thursday. The stock of Marcio was the third best performing stock in the sector. The stock has jumped nearly 2.5 per cent and with this, it surpassed its previous all-time of Rs 572.90. 

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR): The stock has surpassed its previous all-time high of Rs 748 which was registered early in June 2021. The stock on Thursday recorded its highest single-day volume in the past five trading sessions. 

United Breweries: The stock has surpassed its previous all-time high of Rs 1616.80, which was registered on Wednesday and has gained around 1.80 on weekly basis.
