Mindtree top IT gainer when Nifty Jumps by 1000 points in 19 trading sessions
Nifty gained by more than 6 per cent in 20 odd trading sessions as Nifty 50 jumped higher by more than 1000 points. While Nifty jumped from 16k to 17k in 20 odd trading sessions, NIFTY IT was able to outperform Nifty 50 by a good margin. Nifty IT index jumped higher by more than 11 per cent when Nifty jumped higher by more than 6 per cent.
Mindtree was the top performing IT stock as it gained by more than 25 per cent followed by Tech Mahindra (+18 per cent) and TCS (+15 per cent) when Nifty climbed from 16k to 17k.
There are 10 stocks that are constituents of Nifty IT index. Out of 10 Nifty IT index constituents we find that at least 8 constituents outperformed BSE Sensex returns during August 3 and August 31.
BSE Sensex gained by 6.93 per cent when Nifty 50 jumped from 16k to 17k.
