Midcap Stocks to Watch: These Midcaps gained up to 8.56 per cent in one week alone!
After outperforming the benchmark indices during the wave of the pandemic, the mid-cap & small-cap stocks are now witnessing sharp corrections. During the last week, the BSE Midcap index slipped by 0.98 per cent whereas BSE Smallcap index squeezed by 1.51 per cent.
Despite the fall in the indices in broader markets, some midcap stocks managed to gain up to 8.56 per cent in just a week. The top gaining stock was Abbott India which zoomed by 8.56 per cent followed by Cummins India which gained by 8.27 per cent. Recently, Abbott India Ltd declared its quarterly results for Q1FY22, which reported 14.43 per cent growth in total sales revenues on a consolidated basis at Rs 1,218 crore. The company witnessed good traction in the pharma business as well as the nutrition business. The growth in sales was largely driven by volume growth.
