Mid-day Movers: Wockhardt, Sudarshan Chemicals and MRPL rally in afternoon trades

Despite a positive start, the markets are trading flat with Sensex down by 0.027 per cent or 14.42 points at 54,304.05 and Nifty trading at 16,253.55 with a loss of 5.75 points or 0.035 per cent.

  Wockhardt, Sudarshan Chemicals and MRPL are witnessing positive action in today’s session.  

  Wockhardt is up by 15 per cent in today’s session and is currently trading at Rs 281.35. The global pharmaceutical company has been rallying in past three trading sessions after hitting a fresh 52-week low of Rs 228.80 on May 12. At CMP the stock has rallied 22 per cent from the May 12 closing of Rs 230.20. 

  Sudarshan Chemicals is trading up by 15.06 per cent at Rs 491. The company is witnessing fresh buying after trading in red for consecutive sessions. In the last one week, the share price has corrected by 11.40 per cent. The company is scheduled to report financial results for the quarter and year ended on March 31, 2022.   

  Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals (MRPL) touched a fresh 52-week high at an upper circuit of 10 per cent in the afternoon session. The stock has given multibagger returns on YTD basis, where the share price gained 101.83 per cent while one month’s gain is 54.13 per cent. At the time of writing, the shares of MRPL are trading at Rs 89.25 up 9.98 per cent locked in upper circuit for the second time in a day.
