MEP Infrastructure bags toll collection contract in Tamil Nadu
The company has been designated as a toll collection contractor at Paranur Plaza for the Tambaram - Tindivanam Section on NH-45 in Tamil Nadu.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) awarded MEP Infrastructure Developers Limited (MEP) a user fee collection contract. The company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from NHAI which engages MEP as the contractor for collection of toll on NH-45 for 52.820 km at Paranur, starting from 28 km to 74 km (Tambaram-Tindivanam Section).
The tenure of the contract is one year, with operations starting immediately after statutory formalities. According to the terms of the contract, the amount payable to NHAI on a weekly basis is Rs. 105.03 crores.
In the morning session, at 9:26 hours, the stock of MEP Infrastructure was quoting Rs. 63.75 per share, up by 1.59 per cent, while the benchmark index BSE Sensex was at 35,617.05, up by 42.50 points or 0.12 per cent, on Friday.
