Maruti Suzuki stock drives in green
Maruti Suzuki announced that the company has launched S-CNG variant of the car-Alto, which is a very popular car in India.
Keeping in mind the need to comply with BS-VI emission norms, Maruti Suzuki is offering its customers the first BS-VI compliant CNG vehicle as part of its widest range of green cars with S-CNG technology. The launch of the new car by the company is expected to adhere to the Indian Government’s vision of reducing oil imports and enhancing the shares of natural gas in the country’s energy basket from current 6.2 per cent to 15 per cent by the year 2030. Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG vehicles are equipped with dual interdependent Electronic Control Units (ECUs) as well as an intelligent injection system. The company added that the CNG powered Alto BS6 will offer a mileage of 31.59 km/kg. It has also sold around 1,00,000 BS-VI compliant Alto in the country. Alto BS6 LXi S-CNG is priced at Rs 4,32,700 while, Alto BS6 LXi (O) S-CNG is priced at Rs 4,36,300 (both are at ex-showroom Delhi prices).
Reacting to the news, on Monday, the stock of the company was trading at Rs 7,219.10, up by 1.29 per cent or Rs 92.10 per share. The 52-week high is Rs 7,755 and 52-week low is Rs 5,447 on BSE.
