Maruti expands its commercial network portfolio with tour range

The country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, announced the expansion of its commercial network portfolio on Monday. The company will now sell an extensive tour range of vehicles, namely Tour H1 (Hatchback), Tour H2 (Hatchback), Tour S (Sedan), Tour V (Van) and Tour M (MPV).

The commercial network of Maruti Suzuki already retails light commercial vehicles such as Super Carry and the country’s best selling van, Eeco. The company forayed into the commercial segment back in September 2016, with the launch of Maruti Suzuki Super Carry and since then, has enjoyed a growth of 240 per cent. The inclusion of the tour range is expected to further strengthen its hold on the commercial space.

Speaking on the announcement, Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) of Maruti Suzuki India Limited said that the company’s commercial channel is the fastest-growing network in the country which is a testimony to the company's focus on customer satisfaction. He further stated that he was confident about the enhanced portfolio of Super Carry, Eeco and Tour range and also, that it would help their dealer partners.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is engaged in the manufacture, purchase and sale of motor vehicles, components and spare parts. In just three years of its launch, Maruti Suzuki commercial network has expanded its footprint to over 320 stores, in more than 235 cities.

On Monday, the stock closed at Rs 5,487.75, down by 6.04 per cent or Rs 352.90 per share. The 52-week high is recorded at Rs 7,755 and the 52-week low is Rs 4,797.60 on BSE.
