Market Wrap: Frontline indices end on a positive note with Nifty Realty and Nifty Media among the top gainers!

On June 12, foreign institutional investors (FII) sold shares worth Rs 626.62 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) acquired shares worth Rs 1,793.85 crore.

Market update at 3:30 PM: Sensex and Nifty close higher by 0.64 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap end on a higher note by 1.22 per cent and 0.7 per cent.

India VIX plunged by 1.78 per cent.

Nifty Realty, Nifty Media and Nifty FMCG were among the top gainers towards the end of the day while Nifty Auto closes on a lower note.

Tata Consumer, Cipla and Asian Paints were among the top gainers while Kotak bank, Adani Enterprises and HCL Tech were among the top losers from the Nifty 50 towards the end of the day.

Market Update at 2:15 PM: Sensex and Nifty trade higher by 0.51 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap and Smallcap trade higher by 1 per cent and 0.58 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 1.07 per cent.

Nifty Media, Nifty Realty and Nifty FMCG are among the top gainers as of now while Nifty Auto and Nifty PSU Bank trade flat.

Tata Consumer, Titan and Asian Paints are among the top gainers while Kotak bank, SBI and Adani Enterprises are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1195 stocks are advancing as against to 758 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating positive sentiment in the broader market.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade higher by 1.01 per cent and 0.63 per cent respectively.

European markets are heading for a higher open as investors prepare for the latest meeting of the US Federal Reserve that begins Tuesday.

Nifty Media, Nifty Realty and Nifty FMCG are among the top gainers as of now while Nifty Auto and Nifty PSU Bank trade flat.

About 1306 stocks are advancing as against to 647 stocks that are declining. Thus, indicating positive sentiment in the broader market.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade higher by 0.85 per cent and 0.57 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 0.99 per cent.

Nifty FMCG, Nifty Media and Nifty Realty are among the top gainers as of now while Nifty Auto trades flat.

Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever and Titan are among the top gainers while M&M, Kotak bank and HCL Tech are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

 

Market Update at 9:30 AM: Sensex opens higher by 0.46 per cent above 63,900 while Nifty opens higher by 0.42 per cent above 18,600.

Nifty Midcap and Smallcap open higher by 0.68 per cent and 0.52 per cent respectively!

India VIX has plunged by 1.33 per cent.

Nifty FMCG, Nifty IT and Nifty Metal are among the top gainers while Nifty Media are among the top losers.

Asian Paints, ITC and JSW Steel are among the top gainers while L&T, Hero Motocorp and Adani Ports are among the top losers.

 

Pre-Market Update at 8:20 AM: US Stocks concluded another positive session on Monday, with optimism growing that the Federal Reserve would forgo a rate hike at its upcoming policy meeting. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite surged by 0.93 per cent and 1.53 per cent respectively, reaching their highest levels in 13 months. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also gained 189.55 points.

The futures for the Dollar index showed a slight decrease of 0.07 percent, reaching 103.58, while the value of one dollar remained close to Rs 82.34. Oil prices fell by around $3 a barrel on Monday. Brent crude futures fell 3.9 per cent, to settle at $71.84 a barrel, their lowest since December 2021. Gold fell by 0.33 per cent and Silver plunged by 1.13 per cent.

On June 13, markets are set to open higher as indicated by the SGX Nifty, which shows a positive start for the benchmark indices. The SGX Nifty gained 31 points, opening the session at 18,710, and reached a high of 18,746 in early trade on the same day.

Stocks that are banned for trading on June 13, 2023, are Delta Corp, Indiabulls Housing Finance, IEX and India Cements.
