On July 7, foreign institutional investors (FII) purchased shares worth Rs 790.40 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) sold shares worth Rs 2,964.23 crore.

Market Update at 3:50 PM: Sensex and Nifty close on a higher note by 0.1 per cent and 0.12 per cent respectively.

Nifty Midcap close lower by 0.38 per cent and Nifty Smallcap closes lower by 0.58 per cent.

India VIX has plunged by 0.61 per cent.

Nifty Energy and Nifty Metal were among the top gainers while Nifty IT, Nifty Realty and Nifty Media were among the top losers.

Reliance, JSW Steel and Tata Steel were among the top gainers while HCL Tech, Power Grid and Titan were among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 727 stocks were advancing as against to 1264 stocks that were declining, thus indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

About 748 stocks are advancing as against to 1214 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market update at 9:35 AM: Sensex opens higher by 0.2 per cent while Nifty opens higher by 0.09 per cent.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap open higher by 0.34 per cent and 0.2 per cent respectively.

Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Energy and Nifty Metal are among the top gainers while Nifty IT, Nifty Realty and Nifty FMCG are among the top losers.

Reliance, Bajaj Auto and HDFC Life are among the top gainers while HCL Tech, Power Grid and Divi’s Laboratories are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

Pre-Market Update at 8:10 AM: Wall Street's major indexes closed lower on Friday as investors reacted to a U.S. jobs report indicating weaker-than-expected growth. On Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 187.38 points settling at 33,734.88. The S&P 500 saw a decrease of 12.64 points, closing at 4,398.95. The Nasdaq Composite dropped by 18.33 points ending at 13,660.72.

Oil prices experienced a slight decline in early Asian trade on Monday, with investors adopting a cautious approach ahead of upcoming economic data from the United States and China. However, the market found support from anticipated crude supply cuts by Saudi Arabia and Russia. Brent crude futures dropped by 22 cents, representing a 0.3 per cent decrease, settling at $78.25 per barrel.

On Monday, the GIFT Nifty suggests a neutral opening for the benchmark indices with a decrease of 10 points. The futures were recorded at 19,448.

Stocks that are banned for trading in the F&O segment on July 10, 2023, are BHEL, Delta Corp, Granules and India Cements.
