Market Wrap: Frontline indices close on a higher note with Nifty Auto among the top gainers!

On July 10, foreign institutional investors (FII) purchased shares worth Rs 588.48 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) bought shares worth Rs 288.38 crore.

Market Update at 3:55 PM: Sensex and Nifty close on a higher note by 0.43 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap close higher by 0.88 per cent and 1.26 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 3.93 per cent.

Eicher Motors, Sun Pharma and Apollo Hospitals were among the top gainers while UPL, Bajaj Finance and JSW Steel were among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 710 stocks were advancing as against to 1221 stocks that were declining, thus indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

Market Update at 2:20 PM: Sensex and Nifty trade higher by 0.43 per cent each.

Nifty midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade higher by 0.75 per cent and 1.11 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 3.23 per cent.

Nifty Auto, Nifty Pharma and Nifty FMCG are among the top gainers while Nifty Metal, Nifty Financial Services and Nifty PSU Bank are among the top losers.

Eicher Motors, Maruti and Apollo Hospitals are among the top gainers while UPL, Bajaj Finance and JSW Steel are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1214 stocks are advancing as against to 719 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 12:10 PM: Sensex and Nifty trade substantially higher by 0.72 per cent each.

Similarly, Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap trade significantly higher by 1.08 per cent and 1.16 per cent respectively.

India VIX has plunged by 1.92 per cent.

Nifty Auto, Nifty Pharma and Nifty FMCG are among the top gainers while there are no other sectors which are currently underperforming.

Eicher Motors, Hindustan Unilever and Apollo Hospitals are among the top gainers while UPL, HCL Tech and JSW Steel are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 710 stocks are advancing as against to 1221 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a negative sentiment in the broader market.

 

Market Update at 9:30 AM: Sensex and Nifty opens higher by 0.55 per cent each.

Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap open higher by 0.68 per cent each.

India VIX has plunged by 2.18 per cent.

Nifty Auto, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Financial Services are among the top gainers while Nifty IT is among the top losers.

HDFC Life, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv are among the top gainers while UPL, Hero Motocorp and Wipro are among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

About 1426 stocks are advancing as against to 411 stocks that are declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

 

Pre-Market Update at 7:50 AM: US stocks closed higher on Monday, rebounding from last week's losses, as Federal Reserve officials' comments suggested that the central bank may be nearing the end of its tightening cycle. Investors are particularly interested in the upcoming consumer prices report to gauge the trajectory of price pressures and its impact on the Fed's interest rate policy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.62 per cent, the S&P 500 increased by 0.24 per cent and the Nasdaq Composite edged up by 0.18 per cent.

On Tuesday, oil prices rebounded after the previous session's decline, supported by supply cuts from major oil producers Saudi Arabia and Russia. Brent crude futures increased by 33 cents, equivalent to 0.4 per cent, reaching $78 per barrel.

The GIFT Nifty points towards a bullish opening for the benchmark indices on Tuesday, with a rise of 32 points. The futures stood at 19,480.

Stocks that are banned for trading in the F&O segment on July 11, 2023, are BHEL, Delta Corp, Granules, India Cements, Indiabulls Housing Finance, PNB and Zee Entertainment.
