Market Update at 3:55 PM: Sensex closes higher by 0.45 per cent reaching its new all-time high level of 67,171. Similarly, Nifty also reached its new all-time high level of 19,851 after surging by 0.42 per cent.
Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap close higher by 0.68 per cent and 0.78 per cent respectively.
India VIX has plunged by 0.94 per cent.
Nifty Media, Nifty Energy and Nifty PSU Bank were among the top gainers while Nifty IT was the top loser.
NTPC, Indusind Bank and Bajaj Finance were among the top gainers while Hindalco, TCS and Bajaj Auto were among the top losers from the Nifty 50.

Pre-Market Update at 8:00 AM: US stocks rose on Tuesday, fuelled by strong bank earnings. Morgan Stanley shares surged 6.45 per cent and Bank of America gained 4.42 per cent as both exceeded expectations. Other banks, including Bank of New York Mellon and PNC Financial, also reported positive results. The S&P 500 banks index closed 1.90 per cent higher, reaching its highest level since March.
Oil prices climbed on Wednesday due to several factors including China's commitment to economic growth, reduced supply from Russia, and lower U.S. crude oil inventories. Brent futures increased by 9 cents, reaching USD 79.72 per barrel.
On Wednesday, the GIFT Nifty suggests a neutral opening for the Benchmark indices, with a slight increase of 4.5 points. The futures are currently at 19,808.
